SUBJECT: SLOVER WIRE BRUSH COMBING LINT CLEANER
PATENT PENDING

The Slover Wire Brush Combing Lint Cleaner was developed in cooperation with Cotton
Incorporated.

The enclosed picture is of mote bales from a gin with Slover Wire Brush Combing Lint
Cleaners. A gin with Slover Wire Brush Combing Lint Cleaners produces about 1/2 of
the mote bales that a gin with conventional lint cleaners does.

The Wire Brush Combing Lint Cleaner puts 10 to 15 more pounds of lint in every bale for
the farmer.

The other 1/2 of the mote bales normally produced goes into the press and into the
bales of the grower where the grower gets a higher turnout. Higher turnout puts more
money in the growers pocket for his cotton crop.

The grid bars always stay clean and there is never any green or wet stuff on the nose of
the grid bars. This keeps the grid bars doing the best job they can at all times in
cleaning the cotton. The wire brushes comb through the cotton and attach it better to the
saw, resulting in better sling off action for better cleaning.

The lint cleaner saw stays clean with this conversion. This always keeps the lint cleaner
in the best condition to produce the very best sample that it can.

The gin hands never have to clean the grid bars or the saw with this conversion resulting
in less danger to the gin hands. The grid bars and saw stay clean throughout the entire
ginning season and never have to be cleaned.

The cotton looks whiter and brighter and has a more combed and smoother
appearance. The cotton is much better blended and there are almost no light spots in
your grades.

The Slover Wire Brush Lint Cleaner improves the appearance of the cotton by using wire
brushes to comb through the cotton on the lint cleaner saw.

The feed bar and feed roller clearance to the saw is increased from 1/16" to 3/16". This
increases the lint cleaner bale per hour capacity. With this increased clearance it can
handle much larger wads without choking than it now can.
